This was just a quick little flower I whipped up
while watching a movie.

Knitted & Crocheted Wash Clothes

Knitted up some wash clothes
for the kitchen
then I realised
I needed smaller ones too...

made these a wee bit smaller.

I crocheted these with just random
half double crochet stitches and
double crochet.
I'm not please with how they turned out though.

I really do like how the knitted ones turned out.

All these wash clothes pictured here in this post
are made with 100% cotton thread/yarn.

An Evening At My Local Etsy Craft Party

A few evenings ago I participated in
our local Etsy Craft Party
here in Richmond...

we made dog bandana's for pet adoptions
and
merit badges...

these Spoonflower swatches were provided for
us to use with out merit badges.

With this being the first day of summer
I have so many hope to
seeing and doing allot this season.
Not to mention all the arts, crafting and creating
I plan to do as well!

Another Crocheted Rug

Another rug for repair...

Not too much to be done
however I think it will take a fair
amount of time
just the same.

Antique Crochet Rug

This antique rug needs some tender loving care...

I found this at Petersburg Pickers
and knew I could repair it.
It was as bad as seen here, however I had
to clean it first.
It took a little beating in
the cleaning process
but nothing I cannot mend.

More Art Finds

I so have wanted to organise my paper supply
for a very long time but could never justify
spending HUGE amounts of money
on shelving systems
until now...

I found this at a local estate sale house called
Petersburg Pickers.

This price was PERFECT since I got it on the day
all items were 70% off.
Th are full price, Fri are 50%, Sat 60%
and Sun 70% off.
What an awesome find!
I got all four units for less than
the cost of one shelf.
I love this place!
And now my paper is easily accessible,
colour coded and all.

One Person's Rubbish is Another Person's Treasure...

While driving home the other evening,
after attending a play
we found this wonderful surprise
along the edge of the road (aluminum easel)
situated for rubbish pick-up.

I didn't care that we were all dressed up from the evening,
I simply had to rescue this wonderful easel from
sure death.

Once home I was able to ascertain that
there was nothing wrong with this easel!
What a lucky find!
How could someone just 'toss' this out?
I'm happy they did,
now I have a portable, light-weight
easel.

When Crochet Goes Wrong

This actually was suppose to be a hat!!

I started out with a spiral centre but then...

I stopped paying attention to the increases
and wound up with this straight edged
crocheted bowl instead.

I loved these costumes
in the film Cloud Atlas.
They are crocheted & knitted and designed by Kym Barrett.

What was very cool was the whole
time frame, where these characters were in.
It was an all natural place.
Very cool fibers used for these and other costumes.

The film is very long (2 hours 52 minutes) with 6 story lines, but I really enjoyed this film. I have watched it twice and have been captivated both times.
I would even watch it a third time!
I would love to see these costumes up close to see how they were created.
Worth a look for certain!
