Knitting adventures

What with the weather being a wee bit cooler,
as of late, I decided to knit up a couple of colourful
scarf/shawls. These were both made with 17 circular needle, 35".
3 to 4 skeins/balls of yarn.
Casting on 3 sts.
Increasing at the beginning and the end of each row
until desired length.
Cast off loosely.
I started in the morning, by late afternoon I was wearing it.

It's a fast, fun knit up.

  1. Oh did you make these? They are beautiful.
Thank you so much for commenting on my blog. Lovely to hear from you.
I have 3 commissions to paint for the art gallery. One of them can be my imagination, so going to enjoy this one. Trio angels, I may do in a seaside theme, like shells on there dress and their dress look like sand?
Do you paint also? I am certainly loving you knitted wear.

  4. Julie-ann you are so kind.
Ah, anything in a seaside theme would be lovely. I live within walking distance from the Pacific Ocean. Love it!
Hayley, the knitting is simple garter stitch, basic really.
However, if you can find yourself a dvd named The art of knitting. This dvd can really put you on a path of knitting. Oh, check out TheArtOfKnitting.com
Thank you for you kind words.

  6. Trust me third eye, with a wee bit
    of lesson, you can!
If I can knit, any and everyone can knit.
I am teaching my students to cast on presently. (cast on means putting the yarn on one of the two knitting needles).
    :)
Check out the website I commented about earlier. :)

  7. Thanks for popping into my blog Bairbre. I am amazed at your beautiful knitting. It is gorgeous!! My mum taught me to knit when I was little, however I am a more of a quick result type girl and cannot sit through more then about 2 inches of quite a narrow scarf..... oh well, we cant all be good at everything!!!

Keep up the good work and I will be popping in regularly now to see what you have been doing.
