Cooking Tutorial Roasted Asparagus with Eggs

Just twenty-five days until Christmas

Fresh asparagus for breakfast

On a shallow baking pan lay out fresh
stalks of asparagus, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil,
season with pinches of salt and pepper.
Roll asparagus in oil to coast seasoning and oil on
all side of veg.

Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
Place in hot oven
400 degree for 15 minutes.

While asparagus bakes, gather eggs, milk
and seasoning for scrambled eggs.

Scramble and keep warm.

Once asparagus is finished roasting
add to plate first and top with scrabbled egg mixture.

Ta Da!
And oohhh so tasty!

Late Post of Vintage Christmas Craft

I had intended to post this last night...
but I fell asleep in my chair and woke
up today.

My Mum made these about twenty years ago.

My Mum made this too, but I believe
this is over 45 years old.
She loved to sew & crochet & paint.

Mum made this sometime in the late 70's early 80's.
With her now gone 8 years,
I find seeing these makes me
sad and happy.
Sad, because I miss her.
Happy because she really did enjoy making
things with her hands
and i'm very much like her in that!
Have you hugged your Mum today?

A Few Of My Favourite Things

I have to get an early start today!
So much to do and a few new, unexpected

situations to figure out and manage.
In the meantime...
What I'm reading...

One of three favourite kitchen gadgets today.
Herb scissors.

This a great tool for quick chopping
and
dicing of herbs.

 I Love this little tool.

My one reason for loving this,
how comfortable it is to use.
This tool is perfect size
for my small hands.

Can you guess what this little gadget does?

YES, recipe holder.
The wee metal ball detaches
and re attaches to a strong magnet!
Kitchen gadgets can be allot of fun
and oh so useful.

On my art table, more spoons and a fork

On my plate, yummy cheese and dip
with cherry sparkling drink.

Photo's from around the Loft

One of the several 'working stations' I have here in the loft

New work in progress

It started out with a doodle
and has graduated into a bit more

I've not completed this just yet, but have it already
completed in my head.

I was hungry while I cut this out...so I took a break!

I spy Barbie!

Another view of my desk and in the back
ground is my wood working area
and stair to roof top deck.

Some of my original stuffed pals
look on
as I nap in
 the warm
afternoon
sun
and...

Holiday Decorations

Now that Christmas is so close
I thought I had better begin holiday
deconstruction from fall decor...

I really did enjoy all the fall colours this year...

But now it's time to pack fall decorations
away till next year.

The only little bit that didn't get packed up.
Live pumpkins and grain.

Naked shelves...

It seems so bare, but not for long.

Christmas is coming...

I made this over fifteen years ago,
and it's still a regular decoration each season!

My Mum made all ten of these granny square
stockings over the years.
