Mini Game Piece Figure Organization

I decided to organize my mates
game figures
The first task was to find
storage bins
to house the figures

Because of the varying sizes
this was not an easy task

Art Bin has great plastic
boxes perfect for both large and medium sizes

the smaller box I had picked
was not favored by my mate
so I need to find something that works for these mini ones
OR

I'll just use the medium size box instead

This was the system before...

and another before

I'll post new pictures once project is complete
this weekend.

Happy Asparagus!

Empty basket…

When my kids were younger
we would decorate eggs
and gather together
to make and share
a delightful meal,
most often it was a ham with
various seasonal veg and fruits.

Now days,
my kids are grown adults
they have their own paths
and I find that I scale down
every holiday.
So today,
the day after
I sit here and realize that
somethings stay the same.
I made a ham with mac-n-cheese side
with amazingly fresh asparagus.

Happy Spring!

Shrink Plastic Portraits

I saw these pictures over on
HandOn Greater Richmond
regarding a recent project they
were connected with.

I loved the shrink plastic art/pins
that they made!

I thought this would make for a
great DIY project for families
 to chronicle a child's
school photos
or a family tree.

Just another cool idea
found in my e-mail box
not purposely geared towards making
but hey,
why not?

Curious & Curiouser

I love this rubber stamp.
Here in this picture
I was preparing to do a little masking
 & making a small
tutorial on 'how-to'.

The hat reminds me
 of the
children's book character
 'Madeline'
whom
 I adored
 along with
 'Curious George'
and the man in the big yellow hat.

I love stories of curios characters
and hats!

Look what I found in my post box!
This is from

Julia painted the post bag beautifully
with a shimmer gold/turquoise/rust pens or paint.

Inside was...

A mini chip board book

an acorn chip board cut out...

shimmer spray paint

these and other gifts were wrapped up
in this LOVELY
handmade gift paper!!!

It is so wonderful too!!

the gift was wrapped with black ribbon
so pretty
I almost didn't want to disturb it…almost.

In addition to all of the above items
there was this sweet bag of silky
embroidery thread...

with gorgeous colours to choose from!!!

I love, love, love this mini book.
I've never seen on like it before now.

I cannot wait until
my class/school work
is complete
(five weeks more)
so I can devote more time into creating
lovely things with these wonderful gifts!

Spring Decorations Pt.1

Simple Spring Decorations
in just minutes...

I have this great metal tree I use
to display the jewelry I make
but for spring I display
these colourful eggs.

This wonderful wire bunny basket
get a quickly filled
with spring items...
Nice for display or for storage
for little gift giving.

I found this ceramic
bunny dish at the charity shop.
I love it too!

I filled the dish with three eggs that were
broken (ribbons).
I found these eggs at the charity shop too
brand new for fifty cents!

I've used a candle holder
for my toy bunny
for handy play...

I have some cupcake decorations
that I added to my bunny basket
all at the ready for gift giving
just in time for spring gatherings!
