More Magazine Therapy

Home from hospital
and my mobility is extremely limited
so when I'm not passed out from the pain meds
(which is most of the time)
I'm either staring at the flat screen
or leafing through inspirational craft/art/sewing magazines
I really like these sewn pieces!

The artistry seems so simple but not easily attained

I love the corrugated cardboard backing
juxtaposed with the fabric quilted square!

Whimsical

I may have to try my had at some
freeform sewing once
I'm able to sit up without support and pain!

Magazine Therapy

Decided to try and clear my head of
upcoming surgery so
after my appointment
I went to the local B&N for
inspiration.
Wow, this is a cool publication!

I think I may have to try and make something like this
with no pattern
I may have a little struggle

It looks simple to make,
we'll see
LOL

I thought these headbands
were so charming
and I love the vintage flare!

Super cute!
Love the crochet work too!

So many projects inspired from just ONE publication!
Loving the magazine rack today!!!

A Shelf Full Of Buttons

I like to keep most of my buttons
in recycled glass jars
on a shelf in my
sewing area
of the loft.

I keep several jars with button still attached
to the cardboard too.

This way when I'm in need of
some inspiration
I can simply walk over and
look at all the pretty buttons on
the shelf...
