Quilt Shop Inspired
Every time I'm at my local quilt store I see this doll... |
And I think how easy she would be to create, however I haven't made her yet. I need to make this soon! |
I also see this fabric journal holder. I love all the pockets. One with zipper and one without. Just so much I could do with this! |
Another one of those projects I see and think how easy it would be to make, yet I've not made it! Now I'm challenging myself to make these two projects before month's end! |

Zipper Pouch
Made this zipper pouch from the book Everyday Handmade |
I loved this canvas material and didn't know what to use it on. I'm happy with the end result. |
Same ribbon I used on the fluffy bunny. |
Lining. |
I still need to tack up the corner pieces to completely finish this project. |
Once done then the pouch will have a boxy bottom. |

Altered Sweater Dress
So I have a bunch of charity shop jumpers that need to be put to good use! I plan to attach these sleeves on my dress! |
This will make a HUGE difference! The one important thing; I'm using ribbed sleeve of blue jumper to replace ribbed, flared sleeve from dress... Ribbed, they stretch the same way. |
As you all can see, the width of blue sleeve is narrower than the grey. So I will need to pin them snug. |
All pinned and ready to... |
SEW! I've removed the platform base on the sewing area so I can slip the sleeve onto the sewing arm base, for a smoother sewing experience. |
I'm careful to remove the pins so to avoid sewing over them! |
I'm using a zip zag stitch too, to give it a bit of stretch ability. |
Done with one sleeve, now the next! |
No need to bind the edges, as the double seam I made around sleeve arm will hold the fibers, enough. If i had a serger machine, I might serge the edges, but it's not really needed for this project. |
A nice enough finished seam! |
Now it's ready to wear! |
Today is a perfect day for it too...forecast is snow and rain, Brrrrrr... |

Another Day, Another Project...
Spring is on the way, so I made a chocolate bunny! |
Ok, so maybe it's not real chocolate, but it's soft and cuddly! |
I got the pattern for the body from this book, but I didn't add antlers (as seen on book cover) and I sorta made up my own face for it! |

It's in mint condition! |
With all the parts to it!!! |
I also found this within the downtown area at a local pickers estate sell flea market! |
So many great wooden pieces to pick over to make cool stuff with! |

Inspiration Come From...
Silly Stuff inspires me, like this big blow up tube of paint! It's just too weird and that inspires me! |
Sparkly stuff inspires me too! And pink hearts! |
These trinkets and treasures I have on my desk inspire me especially on days I'm 'stuck' for ideas. |

Nana's Babysitting Adventure
It's like a 'find waldo' page... can you spot the baby in all this jungle of toys? |
It's cold today in my loft so wee lad needs hat and extra socks! |
It's funny, with all the frilly, fancy new baby toys out, the 'simple' toys still win out! 'Rubber Duckie I Love You' |
I wonder if he knows instinctively that his Nana is a zany sorta lady? |
