Basic Typing Methods Vintage Film

In this Basic Typing film from 1944
a brief history of the typewriter is shown
which includes several machines which are housed in the Smithsonian.

I also like the fashion flash back this film displays.

A disturbing part of history is that typing and the employment of typists
was centrally focused on women & girls.
I was influenced by this cultural norm as a young girl.

Perhaps this is why I love typewriters to this day!

This is the second half of the Basic Typing Film

Please share with other typewriter & typing enthusiasts!

I'd also like to hear some of your earliest memories with typing
and on what type machine?
