Heres to a happy end of July. Hopefully August will be cooler and less wet. August brings new challenges with a little of the unexpected. Yay! |

Scrabble Game Galore
I own a few scrabble games |
Most I have found at charity shops or estate sales. |
I found this one at a local Goodwill shop for $1.95... |
complete with real mini wooden tiles... |
a plastic board game surface, with individual raised squares to keep tiles in place and... |
a cotton sack to keep tiles safe all tucked inside a wee plastic casing. |
A regular size Scrabble set. |
A different style Scrabble I thought my kids might like. |
And my Deluxe Turnable game. Love this one! |
I have a few vintage sets. |
With the old logo. |
With rules attached to lid. |
All vintage sets have all their pieces too. |
This one's from the 50's |

Computer Desk Fun
Scrabble fun. |
I do, on occasion have scrabble tiles in a handmade crochet bowl that sits upon my computer desk. |
When I'm waiting for something to download or I need a wee break I will play with the tiles... |
I try to use the difficult letters more often than not. |

Thread Colour Wheel
I love this idea for creating a colour wheel for some (maybe all) of my hand sewing threads. |
I think I would only make one for all my DMC cotton floss. There are so many colours though. This would be a huge project. |

Organizing Stitching Supplies
Sorting Cross Stitch Supplies. |
Before I start any new cross stitch project, I sort through my supplies and see what new threads I might need. |
I try and keep all my threads in numerical order. |
Bunched in groupings according to certain brands I like and use best. |
I like DMC best. Though I do have Anchor threads from my Mum's stash. I use them mostly for mixed arts projects. |
And other crafty projects. I store most of those threads in zip lock bags for easy access. |
As for my DMC Cotton floss in spools, I like to keep them in plastic cases. |
Once again, I find multiple uses for all these lovely threads. |
I use strips of non-sticky tape to hold the ends of some spools. |

Cross Stitching a Vintage Typewriter
I thought I would make a cross stitched cover for my vintage typewriter... |
This wonderful pattern byAngela Poole is perfect! |
Easy to follow instructions. |
I found this pattern in this month's Cross Stitcher Designer Stitches Mag. |
A wee bit costly, however I had a 50% coupon so I was happy to get it for a great deal less that original sticker price! :) |

My Vintage Typewriter
Recently I acquired this lovely little gem of a vintage typewriter! |
There are a few sticky keys though... |
I plan to have restored to full working order. This Site has awesome 'do it yourself' step-by-step vintage typewriter restoration tips! |
The case is is fully functional. I can't wait to start using this fabulous vintage typewriter just as soon as I'm able. |
